The FM Stay Safe App uses GPS to help you instantly locate your friends and family and send for help should you find yourself in a vulnerable location.

By connecting with your friends and family you will be able to locate each other and immediately identify someone’s whereabouts if a user asks for your help.

Family Matters is one of the UK’s largest support service for people who have experienced sexual abuse and we aim to help increase the safety of all users with our Stay Safe App which includes:

- GPS Connection with friends and family
- The ability to choose when you wish to broadcast your location
- A one click ‘Send for help’ button which gives your current location to your connected users
- The ability to connect and disconnect to other users
- Information on how to improve your safety
- Details of support services
- Live Map showing all connected users locations
- Information on Family Matters’ service and venues

Please ensure that the bill payer knows that specific parts of this app (map services, internet service links, phone numbers) may incur a charge from your provider and that the user always checks before use. ‘Log Data’ will be collated when you use the FM ‘Stay Safe’ app, and will collect information such as device type, operating system, dates and time of use. ‘Usage Data’ will also be collated and includes, without limitation, connection and service-related data submitted to Family Matters through the FM ‘Stay Safe’ app.

The FM ‘Stay Safe’ app will not acquire any of your personal details during the use of this app.

This app has been designed for smart phones. You may be able to access content on iPad however please note that the app may not function fully on tablet devices.
